Gifts for £10-£20

Honestly, the adventurer in your life will thank you for this gift. They can be used to line a backpack but also to store, and keep dry, extra layers, electricals and other items in their backpack. You can buy individual ones like these from Alpkit or there are options for sets of different sizes online, but this will push the cost up.

Now, gloves can be a bit tricky to buy because they perform differently under varying conditions. It’s more than likely that the adventurer in your life will already have a decent pair of higher performing gloves they like but, we would never say no to pair of gloves as a staple item in our kit. If anyone else is like me, I’m always leaving one on a mountain and coming home without the pair. Mittens are also a good choice and there’s lots of different types to suit different budgets out there.

Books
The Wild Guides are some of my favourite outdoors books – packed with places to visit, swimming spots, ruins, castles, hikes they have inspired many of my own adventures. They are also available for different parts of the UK depending on where your adventure lover is based or interested in visiting.
However, the possibilities are endless – books on famous adventurers, books to improve skills, books with routes in, outdoor cook books etc etc. Depending on the passion of the outdoor lover, I’m sure they’d love a new book to get stuck into over Christmas. I’ve added the links to Amazon BUT see if you can buy from an independent book retailer near you instead as lots of smaller businesses can’t compete with the likes of Amazon. Here’s some of my other current favourites:
The ultimate guide to cooking outdoors including 80 recipes!
Bushcraft life skills for the outdoors for anyone who wants to improve their knowledge in this area

A foam sit mat. What a great idea. We end up sitting on our sandwich bags or a dog poop bag but they are just too small.
Great list, I hope Santa brings me some items off here 🎅
I hope Santa brings you some too! Merry Christmas 🙂

Me too! It was SO hard not to click that “add to basket button” while I was writing it. May have asked Santa for the hut slippers for trips away in the van so fingers crossed! Merry Christmas when it comes.
