Gifts for £20-£50

I know, I know, this seems like the most BORING present imaginable but honestly, an outdoor lover will really appreciate a good pair of socks. Merino wool will see you in the good books for a long time and ones with targeted cushioning to reduce blisters? Well, you’ll be known as a “top gift giver” forever more. Trust me. These from Smartwool will go down a treat.

A firm favourite of mine! Gift this to your outdoorsy pal and when they whip it out on a mountain summit filled with a steaming hot meal, they’ll be the envy of all their other mates. Gone are the days we need to take soggy sandwiches and cold snacks – this flask will keep a hearty meal warm for 9 hours!

Perfect for winter when the weather is much colder. Buying baselayers can be a challenge and there are options available for a whole range of prices with cheaper options available ranging up to prices over £100. The key is to get something snug fitting to stop dampness and cold getting in. Material choice can vary greatly but merino wool is the most common. I’ve included an example here of a mid-range priced merino wool baselayer but if this is something you’d like to buy, it’s worth shopping about.

Sometimes, something practical might not be the kind of gift you want to give so Freya from Freya Adventure Jewellery has you covered. All her pieces are handmade and I’ve personally bought a few pieces from her. You can see her collection here on Etsy and also over on Instagram.

Kate currently offers a small collection of outdoor prints, with more being added in the future. They are hand designed and printed to a high standard and this camping one is my favourite. In the words of Kate, “The Wild Camping Fine Art Print will remind you that sometimes it’s the simple things in life that brings us the most joy.”

A foam sit mat. What a great idea. We end up sitting on our sandwich bags or a dog poop bag but they are just too small.
Great list, I hope Santa brings me some items off here 🎅
I hope Santa brings you some too! Merry Christmas 🙂

Me too! It was SO hard not to click that “add to basket button” while I was writing it. May have asked Santa for the hut slippers for trips away in the van so fingers crossed! Merry Christmas when it comes.
